AMERICA NOTES | part two

This was New York. 

It was a place that I didn't expect to love at all, but each day that we wandered I fell in love over and over again. It was a place that I expected to take energy away from me with all its hustle and bustle, but instead it gave more and more. It was a place that I would go back to in a heartbeat.

There is something special there. I don't know if its in the food, the thousands of delicious options lining every street patiently waiting for you to come and enjoy. Maybe its in the character of the buildings, beams and stones who have seen billions of faces pass by them and given love. Or maybe its in the parks; unexpected havens of natural love where you can breathe in smells of the earth between the pounded pavement. Or its the people, the wonderful people. So many beautiful hearts racing to and from all day from dawn until dusk, and long after. 

The City is love, an unexpected love. 

A place that I thought would take, but it only gave.

AMERICA NOTES | part one

This was Iowa. We began our travels, excited in anticipation of the six weeks of adventure ahead of us. It was spent with close friends and the friends that are more like family. We breathed in air that felt more clean than ever before. We found rivers lined by the most tall and beautiful leaves with lucious leaves that we're beginning to dry out with the end of summers heat. We laughed nightly over meals shared and games played before heading to bed with no expectation of what tomorrow might bring other than more joy in experiencing what life had for us in that moment. 

Iowa was beautiful. I am desperate to not forget any moment of that time.

ny lust.

its a wanderlust sort of day. ive been dreaming a lot lately, and with that dreaming also grumbling about the fact that i dont have the funds for such dreaming. and i also feel i need to stay put for a little while longer. but hey, i can still dream right? new york is where i want to be. hustle and bustle. friends and love. my brothers just passed through and i so wish i could have seen it with them. oh well. i know when i get there, new york will be perfect for me!

and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

i hope you are all having the most spledid day here in oz for christmas.

and for those celebrating tomorrow i hope your chrissy eve is lovely!

ive been away for a while i know! i flew back home from LA yesterday.

I landed in adelaide at about midday and then came home to unpack and wrap pressies.

then after a zonked out sleep here i am on christmas day!! 

I will be posting in the next few days/week about my trip. so keep posted :)
